Collegeville Beautification Committee

The Borough of Collegeville is developing a Main Street Revitalization and Beautification plan for Main Street. The plan is being developed by the Collegeville Beautification Committee , an ad hoc committee made up of Borough Council members, Borough Planning Commission members, and Montgomery County Planners.

The CBC is developing beautification plans for Main Street in the Borough. The beautification plans for Main Street include:

  • street trees
  • new sidewalks
  • decorative street lights
  • marked crosswalks and intersections
  • new parking, and
  • consolidated parking lots
Collegeville merchant Cindy Whitby makes a point at a CBC meeting.

The Committee has acquired 1.3 million in federal and state grants for Phase 1 of the project. Phase 1 includes the area of Main Street from Third Avenue to Fourth Avenue.

Members of the general public who want to follow the work of the CBC can attend CBC meetings where the work is presented and public discussion is available. Watch the Bulletin Board for meeting announcements and check back to Community Development for further details as they become available.
