Officer Michael Shirey

Officer G. Michael Shirey has been with the department since February, 1988. He is a graduate of Kutztown University with a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice. Officer Shirey is also a graduate of the Pennsylvania State Police Municipal Training Academy, the F.B.I Inter-County Detective School and the National Tactical Officers Association Advanced SWAT/Hostage Rescue School.

• NRA certified Firearms Instructor
• Member of the Chester Montgomery Emergency Response Team (CMERT) since 2000 and promoted to Assistant Team Leader in 2002
• Certified L.E.A.D Rapid Deployment Instructor
• Member of the Montgomery County Municipal Drug Task Force
