The Community Park ball field is home to the Collegeville Black Sox baseball team. The Black Sox are a member of the Perkiomen Valley Twilight League which has 10 teams scattered throughout the middle of Montgomery County. The League attracts some of the best players in the area. The league is an amateur league but is formally organized and operates under Official Baseball Rules which include American League Rules with the exception that players may use aluminum bats. The games are free and open to the public.
