Collegeville Borough Summer Events

July 16, 7 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. — CEDC Movies on the Lawn “Raya and the Last Dragon,” rain date of July 23. Ursinus College campus front lawn.  Families can bring chairs and blankets and begin arriving at 7 p.m. to enjoy music and food from food trucks.  Movies start at dusk.  Plenty of parking is available on campus.  Drive in through the new Main Street entrance next to the Schellhase Commons building or enter via E. Aug. 15, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Collegeville Main Street Car Show put on by the Collegeville Fire Company.  Main Street from Third to Ninth Aves.   Top 50 with professional judging.  Awards presented at 2 p.m.  Music, food and fun!  https://www.collegevillefire.org/news/604/Collegeville-Fire-Co-Main-Street-Car-Show-is-Back-for-2021,

Aug. 19, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.– Collegeville Borough Concerts in the Park “Trout Fishing in America” at Collegeville Community Park, 3rd and Park Aves. No rain date.   Bring a blanket or some lawn chairs, or just sit on the ball field bleachers. Bring a picnic dinner.  During the concert, the playground is available for kids.  Come and join the fun!

Sept. 4, 9 a.m. — 1 p.m. Collegeville Colossal Yard Sale at Waterworks Park on West First Ave. in Trappe.  Rain date is Sept. 11.  Over 80 sellers on tree-lined paved paths.  Playground for kids.  Free parking on site.  In the past this event has attracted over 3,000 shoppers.  https://www.collegevilledevelopment.org/reserve-your-space-for-the-collegeville-colossal-yard-sale/

Sept. 9, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. — Collegeville Borough Concerts in the Park, “Smooth Edge,” at Collegeville Community Park, 3rd and Park Aves.  Rain date is Sept. 16.  Bring a blanket or some lawn chairs, or just sit on the ball field bleachers. Bring a picnic dinner.  During the concert, the playground is available for kids.  Come and join the fun!

Sept. 12, 10 a.m. – Noon—Collegeville Fire Company 10th Annual 5K Hero Run.  Packet pick up and registration 9 – 10 a.m.  Please join our Fire Company in a celebration of heroes!  Race starts at the Collegeville Station parking lot at Third Ave. and Chestnut St. in Collegeville.  Race course is through neighborhood streets.  Registration fee $25.  First 100 registrants receive commemorative tee shirts; medals to top finishers in all age groups.  For more information and to register: https://www.collegevillefire.org/content/herorun/

Upper Providence Township Events

All Collegeville residents are invited to enjoy these free events held at Anderson Farm Park!

July 14, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. – Tim Williams free “Music in the Park” concert  http://timwilliams.com/ at Anderson Farm Park Amphitheatre, 499 Hopwood Road, Collegeville.  Bring your blankets or chairs and join us for great performances and fun all summer long!

July 21, 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. — Free Library Program, “A History of Hip Hop with Illstyle & Peace” at Anderson Farm Park, Upper Prov Community Center, 499 Hopwood Road, Collegeville.  Bring a blanket or chair.  The speakers will explain the history of hip-hop dance and perform a variety of dance styles. The audience will also learn about the role of the DJ, Beatboxer, and MC. At the end of the program, a few audience members will be invited on stage to perform some moves. August 22, 7:45 p.m. – 9 p.m. — Free Full Moon Hike at Anderson Farm Park, 499 Hopwood Road, Collegeville.  Join the group at the pavilion to learn about the moon and about the wildlife that comes out at night.  You can pre-register here:  https://getupt.org/info/activities/program_details.aspx?ProgramID=30235

Sept. 11,10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Upper Providence Township Community Day at Anderson Farm Park, 499 Hopwood Road, Collegeville.  Free children’s activities, beer garden, music, vendors, and more!
