Community Service: Cathy is President of the non-profit Collegeville Economic Development Corporation (CEDC), an all-volunteer non-profit which works to promote local businesses and sponsors numerous Collegeville family-friendly events, including Dinner & a Show promotions with the Ursinus College Theater Department and local restaurants, the Community Memorial Day Parade, the Collegeville Colossal Yard Sale, and many other events. Cathy was also instrumental in starting and running the Collegeville Farmers Market from 2011 through 2014.

About: Cathy Kernen has over 45 years’ experience in communications and PR, and has held executive level and management positions both in the U.S. and internationally with four pharmaceutical companies: AstraZeneca, Astra/Astra Merck, Merck, and CIBA-Geigy (now Novartis). Since 2007, Cathy has headed up her own pharmaceutical PR agency, Kernen Communications LLC. Cathy has lived in Collegeville since 1993.
