Defining the Collegeville Region

The Borough of Collegeville is a small part of what is considered the Collegeville region. The Collegeville region is defined by the areas served by the Collegeville Post Office, and includes many areas of the county that may not be specifically inside the Borough of Collegeville, but which carry the Collegeville zip code of 19426. The post office itself is located in the Borough of Collegeville. The larger region is made up of: the Borough of Collegeville, the Borough of Trappe, and portions of Upper Providence, Lower Providence, Perkiomen, Skippack, and Worcester townships.

The Collegeville region includes the Pharmaceutical Corporate centers and the Providence Town Center shopping center located a few miles from the Borough at the Rt. 422 and Rt. 29 interchange. The pharmaceuticals companies and the stores located at the Providence Town Center have Collegeville mailing addresses and the area of the highway at that interchange is referred to in news and traffic reports as Collegeville, though it also serves Phoenixville. Considering this larger definition, Collegeville would include portions of the Phoenixville, Royersford, Limerick, Oaks, and Audubon regions.

Borough council meets the 1st Wednesday of each month.
