Collegeville Welcomes New Borough Manager
At it’s November 16 meeting, Collegeville Borough Council welcomed Tamara Twardowski as its new borough manager.
Tamara has over 15 years’ experience in municipal government, including as an Authority Administrator at New Hanover Township, as Lower Frederick’s Township Manager and most recently as the Borough Manager at Trappe Borough.
Previous to her municipal career, Tamara gained experience in customer service and sales and for many years was a small business owner.
She is proficient in finance and budgets, with 14 years’ experience maximizing revenues and controlling costs, as well as long-term planning to anticipate future expenses.
She is also an experienced grant writer. In her previous positions she secured over $2 million in funding from PECO, the Commonwealth Financing Authority, the Schuylkill River Restoration Fund, and the Montgomery County Planning Commission.
Tamara holds a BA in Business Administration and Project Management from Columbia Southern University, where she graduated with a 3.97 GPA. In her free time, she enjoys being with her family, friends, and dog; reading, cooking and being outdoors. Her passions are hiking, skiing, playing volleyball and going to the beach.
Tamara says she wanted to become the manager of Collegeville Borough because “I am very interested in the borough’s work on … revitalization, and its partnership with Ursinus College. This revitalization and partnership is a unique opportunity to create a vibrant (town center) which will benefit the businesses, residents, and students. It is an exciting time and I am happy to be a part of it!”
Tamara looks forward to getting to know our residents and business owners, and says that “I see Collegeville as my second home, and I view myself as part of the team that will help make Collegeville ‘a great place to come home to!’”
Feel free to call or e-mail Tamara at TTwardowski@borough.collegeville-pa.gov with any questions or concerns.
