May Blog Post

As Mayor of Collegeville, I am delighted to take this opportunity, during the month of May 2025, to formally recognize and celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. This is a significant time for our nation and our community to honor the rich history, diverse cultures, and invaluable contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders who have helped shape the vibrant tapestry of our society.

Here in Collegeville, we are fortunate to have a community enriched by residents from all backgrounds. AAPI Heritage Month provides a wonderful occasion for all of us to learn more about the many achievements and the resilience of our neighbors, friends, and colleagues of Asian and Pacific Islander descent. Their contributions span every field imaginable, from science and technology to arts and culture, business, education, and public service, strengthening our borough and our nation.

This month encourages us to deepen our understanding and appreciation of the unique experiences and traditions within the diverse AAPI communities. It is a chance to reflect on the challenges overcome and to celebrate the enduring spirit that has led to so much success and enrichment for us all.

I encourage all Collegeville residents to take some time this May to explore the vast history and cultural heritage of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. Let us continue to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where every voice is heard, and every contribution is valued.

Together, let’s celebrate the diversity that makes Collegeville a Great Place to Come Home to.

Sincerely,

Mayor Ace
