At the Council meeting on June 7th, the Borough adopted Ordinance 618 implementing a Use and Occupancy inspection and permit. The Street and Public Safety committee spent multiple meetings discussing the ordinance, why they felt it was important and what the Borough should be looking at during the inspections. The concern of the committee was safety, so it was decided to keep the inspection list relatively simple and it could be modified in the future if other concerns become an issue.
